Greetings and welcome to the Central Area website! We hope you find our “link” to you informative and beneficial.

 Let me start by expressing how truly honored I am to have been elected to serve the Central Area as its 17^th Area Director.  Words cannot express my sincere appreciation and thanks for your unanimous support of my candidacy.  I am both energized and excited about the prospects of leading our great sisterhood during the 2007-2009 Biennium.  

 POWERING THE PROMISE. ..will be our theme, indeed our mantra for the 2007-2009 Biennium.  The way I see it - there are many ways that this theme can drive – indeed power the work of the Central Area.  Just think about it . . .

 As we work to strengthen the capabilities of our sister Links and develop the capacity of the collective we will indeed begin the process of “powering the promise” of each and every one of our 69 chapters

 And by continuing to develop strong programming that is meaningful, purposeful and  sustainable – we will in fact provide services necessary in “powering  the promise” to our communities.

 And finally, if we are true to the basic tenant of friendship that is indeed the cornerstone of this great sister – friendship that is affirmed – friendship that is true and friendship that is real – we will strengthen the bond and continue “powering the promise”  to one another – sister to sister – Link to Link.

 As your Central Area Director I will demonstrate my commitment to Powering the Promise by: 

Ø      Providing sound leadership and solid direction

Ø      Faithfully and honorably executing my duties and using my skills to ensure excellence in chapter development, sisterly relations and program delivery

Ø      Facilitating the development of systems and processes necessary in ensuring efficiency and accountability in Area business functions

Ø      Never losing sight of our collective abilities

Ø      Honoring the Central Area Legacy of Excellence
